Patrick Isidro Trompiz
Board Member, Art of Living Teacher
Patrick was born in Caracas, Venezuela to Irish and Venezuelan parents and today he has family members all over the world, some from every continent!
Patrick grew up in London, UK completing Wilson's Grammar School, and Balliol College Oxford (Mathematics and Philosophy) during which period he visited what were then "post-communist countries" for the first time. Universities from "western" Europe began holiding conferences with universtiies from behind the (former) iron curtain and this was a wonderful opprtunity to see freedom develop.
Patrick began academic work at the Polish Academy of Sciences as part of an international program at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology. He also set up a couple of educational companies offering translation and leanguage teaching and training services. At the same time, he encounted Art of Living programs with a then business client - Monika Dębicka. He slowly came to understand how global wisdom is, how difference traditions across the world are related and he is working on an academic book about how the spiritual roots of a region are reflected in their education systems.
Patrick went on to become an Art of Living trainer and is focussed on programs for colleges as well as encouraging future trainers (VTP) and programs based on ancient spiritual
textst such as Bhakti Sutras and the Ashtavakra Gita. He has managed several national and international business and social projects and is currently on the board overseeing Art of Living activities in Poland.
